Miss World Philippines 2017

The Miss World Philippines 2017 pageant held at the Mall of Asia Arena on September 3. This was the first edition under the new national director Arnold Vegafria. This was hosted by Carla Abellana, KC Montero and Iya Villania.

Devina DeDiva Racist Comments for Miss Philippines!

October 2, 2013

Devina DeDiva posted a status on her facebook account saying, “Miss Philippines is Miss World? What a joke! I did not know those maids have anything else in them Ha Ha Ha” but delete after a day and she even rename her user name to أميرة أصبح. 

She made this comment after Miss Philippines wins Miss World 2013. As of October 2, she already deactivated her facebook account.

I don't have to say anything because it is very clear that she look herself above all Filipinos because she thinks that all Filipinos are dirty, poor, smelly maids who should not be looked up to.

My only question here is, if you live in a democratic country, are you already entitled to hurt anyone's feelings simply because they are poor?

#5 Zahra Bianca Saldua: When I was 10 years old, I told my parents that I wanted to become part of the United Nations. Why? Because I want to be an ambassadress of goodwill. Even before this competition I have done many charities and I intend to continue them even after, whether I win or loss. So being part of Miss World Philippines and winning as Miss World Philippines will allow me to help even more children and hopefully you'll give me that privilege and that honor and that responsibility and I am willing to accept it wholeheartedly. #10 Janicel Lubina: I would like to be Miss World Philippines because I will be an effective Miss World Philippines. Because I would like to unite physical beauty. Miss World Philippines 2011

 Miss World Philippines, organized by CQGlobal Quest Inc., is a national beauty pageant in the Philippines that sends representative for the London-based Miss World Pageant. The Miss World Philippines titleholder will become the Ambassadress of Goodwill.

Inspired by the slogan of Miss World Limited - "Beauty with a Purpose", Miss World Philippines adopted the theme "Beauty in Giving". The winner and her court work with charities, namely, Tuloy Streetchildren Village and the PGH Medical Foundation.

The first titleholder for Miss World Philippines 2011 is Gwendoline Ruais from Muntinlupa City who was crowned at the Philippine International Convention Center in Manila on September 18, 2011. She successfully represented the Philippines in Miss World 2011 at the Earls Court Two, in London, England last November 6, 2011 and finished Miss World 2011 1st Princess / 1st Runner-Up.

The first edition of Miss World Philippines was produced and aired by GMA Network from the Philippine International Convention Center. The theme song was composed and arranged by Louie Ocampo, while Eduardo Castrillo created the crowns and trophies for titlists.
